Ho Tram Beach Boutique at a glance

Ho Tram Beach Boutique is a four-star beach resort of 92 rooms, bungalows and villas, spread low across 8 hectares of casuarina and coconut garden on the coastal road at Ho Tram. Its strengths are the setting and the space: thatched and tiled bungalows, two pools and a beachfront you reach without crossing a road. The trade-off is isolation, with the nearest ATM about 9 km away and little to walk to in the evening.

It fits best if you want a slow beach stay with gardens and pools, and plan to use the car for seafood dinners and day trips.

Why guests choose Ho Tram Beach Boutique

Most guests decide on three things here, and each one is visible in the photos and room plans before you book.

Thatched sun umbrella and two wooden loungers on a lawn at the edge of the sand, casuarina trees and calm sea behind

A beachfront you reach on foot

Lawns run straight onto the sand under old casuarina trees, with loungers and umbrellas for guests. The Premier Ocean Bungalows sit closest, a short stroll from the sand.

Long straight pool reflecting tall casuarina trees and a blue sky, white umbrellas along the far edge

Two pools, one of them salt water

The 30-metre Salt Pool reflects the casuarina forest; the curving Bliss Pool looks over the sea. There is a separate children’s pool with a slide.

Private pool under a deep wooden veranda with dark red carved pillars and lattice doors, terracotta floor tiles

Pool villas built like old houses

A handful of pool villas, in dark carved wood with terracotta floors, keep a private pool inside the house. The one-bedroom villas run to 270 m².

Which room to book at Ho Tram Beach Boutique

For most couples, a Premier Ocean Bungalow is the one to book: 54 m², a thatched roof, an open-air bathroom and a veranda looking through the casuarinas to the sea. Garden Rooms (42 m²) sit in a two-storey block by the salt pool, bungalows stand alone in the garden, and families get an 86 m² two-bedroom bungalow.

Where is Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Ho Tram Beach Boutique sits on the coastal road at Ho Tram, about 107 km south-east of central Saigon and 53 km up the coast from Vung Tau, with the beach on one side and forest behind. There is little within walking distance beyond the beach and the Hamptons Pier; most guests drive or ask reception to call a Grab, which can be slow to arrive at night.

Is Ho Tram Beach Boutique right for you?

No hotel suits everyone. This is who tends to love it, and who would be happier somewhere else.

A good fit if you

  • Want a beach stay where lawns and casuarinas run straight onto the sand.
  • Like swimming laps: the salt-water pool is 30 metres long.
  • Are a family who will use the kids’ pool, sand playground and two-bedroom bungalows.
  • Plan to drive out for seafood at Ho Tram fish market, Ho Coc and the Binh Chau hot springs.

Look elsewhere if you

  • Want restaurants and bars within walking distance; the nearest village food is about 5 km away.
  • Want calm sea swimming in winter: the north-east monsoon brings big waves from November to February.
  • Need a polished, recently renovated room everywhere: some rooms are older, and guests mention mosquitoes.

Ho Tram Beach Boutique FAQ: what guests ask before booking

The practical questions that decide a booking — distances measured, policies read, nothing guessed. Facts checked October 2026.

Location & getting there6

How far is Ho Tram Beach Boutique from Ho Chi Minh City, and how long is the drive?

It is about 101 km from District 1 and 107 km from Tan Son Nhat airport, and the drive takes 2 to 2.5 hours in normal traffic. Since May 2026 the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway runs most of the way to Ba Ria; the last stretch follows Highway 55 or the coastal road. Friday evenings and holiday mornings out of Saigon are slower, so add an hour then.

Should I fly into Tan Son Nhat or Long Thanh to reach Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Fly into Tan Son Nhat (SGN) for now. Long Thanh International Airport is about 82 km from the resort, roughly 1.5 hours by car, but it is only scheduled to start commercial flights on 1 December 2026, and most international routes move there in phases through 2027. Check which airport your ticket uses before you book a transfer.

Does Ho Tram Beach Boutique run a shuttle from Saigon?

Yes, the resort lists a shuttle bus that leaves 48A Dang Dung Street in Tan Dinh, central Ho Chi Minh City, at 2 pm and returns from the resort at 11:30 am. It must be booked at least 48 hours ahead, and the fare is not published, so ask the hotel for the price when you book. A private car through the resort is listed at about US$95 one way for the vehicle.

How much is a private car or a limousine van from Saigon to Ho Tram?

A 7-seat private car from central Ho Chi Minh City costs about US$120 one way with a private driver company, and about US$95 through the resort (both checked October 2026). Limousine vans such as Toan Thang run from District 1 in about 2 hours for roughly US$12–15 a seat, but many drop at Ba Ria or on the main road, so ask for the resort’s gate.

What address should I give my driver for Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Give the current address: Coastal Road, Ho Tram hamlet, Ho Tram commune, Ho Chi Minh City. The old province of Ba Ria–Vung Tau joined Ho Chi Minh City on 1 July 2025, and Phuoc Thuan commune became part of Ho Tram commune, so some booking pages and maps still show the older Phuoc Thuan, Xuyen Moc address. Both point to the same resort on the coastal road.

Is anything within walking distance of Ho Tram Beach Boutique, and can I get a Grab at night?

Only the beach and the Hamptons Pier, about 15–20 minutes on foot. Ho Tram fishing village and its fish market are 5 km away, so you need a car. Grab and Xanh SM do operate in Ho Tram, but cars are few, especially after dark, so ask reception to book your ride back before you leave for dinner.

Rooms & villas6

Which rooms at Ho Tram Beach Boutique actually face the sea?

Only the Premier Ocean Bungalows look out to sea, through a line of casuarina trees from a wooden veranda. Premier Lagoon rooms and bungalows face the lagoon, with a partial sea glimpse at best, and every Garden category faces the garden. The pool villas look onto their own courtyard pool and the lily pond. If a sea view is the point of your trip, book the Ocean Bungalow by name.

What is the difference between a Garden Room and a Deluxe Garden Bungalow at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

The Garden Room is a 42 m² room inside a two-storey building with an outside corridor, close to the salt-water pool. The Deluxe Garden Bungalow is a free-standing 44 m² cottage with a thatched roof, a four-poster bed under a white net and a small veranda. Space is almost the same; the bungalow buys privacy and character, the Garden Room buys pool access.

Which room at Ho Tram Beach Boutique has an open-air bathroom?

The Premier Ocean Bungalow has an open-air bathroom with a stone bathtub and shower, partly walled and open to the sky. It is the feature guests remember, but it has no air-conditioning and insects come with the open air, especially in the rainy season. If you prefer a fully enclosed bathroom, book a Garden Room or a Premier Garden Bungalow instead.

Do the pool villas at Ho Tram Beach Boutique have a private pool?

Yes. The One-Bedroom Pool Villa (270 m² according to the resort, 240 m² on some booking pages) has its own pool under a deep wooden veranda, and the Two-Bedroom Pool Villa (370 m²) has a courtyard pool between the rooms. There are only a handful of villas, built in dark carved wood around a lily pond, so they are the first rooms to go at weekends.

Which room at Ho Tram Beach Boutique fits a family of four?

The Premier Garden Family Bungalow is the simplest choice: 86 m², two bedrooms and a shared living room under one roof. Standard rooms take two adults plus one extra bed, and two adults with two children under 12 will usually need an extra bed charged by the night. For more space, the Two-Bedroom Pool Villa sleeps four to five with its own pool.

Are the rooms at Ho Tram Beach Boutique renovated?

Some are and some are not. Recent guest reviews describe freshly renovated rooms alongside older ones with a noisy air-conditioner or fridge, so the work appears to be room by room. When you book, ask the hotel for a renovated room; it is on request, not guaranteed. Mosquito nets over the beds are part of the design rather than a sign of age.

Pools, beach & spa5

How many pools does Ho Tram Beach Boutique have?

Two main outdoor pools plus a children’s pool. The Salt Pool is a 30-metre salt-water pool framed by casuarina trees, good for laps. The Bliss Pool is a curving freshwater pool with stone edges and a view of the sea. The children’s pool has a water slide. Pool hours are not published, so check them at check-in.

Can you swim in the sea at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

You can, but treat it as an open-ocean beach. Ho Tram has strong currents, the north-east monsoon brings big waves from November to February, and a teenager drowned off the public beach nearby in May 2026. Swim close to shore in calm weather, never alone, and ask staff about conditions that day; on rough days, use the pools instead.

Is the beach in front of Ho Tram Beach Boutique private?

No beach in Vietnam is legally private, but the stretch in front of the resort is set up for guests, with loungers, umbrellas and beach towels, and the beach bar sits on the sand. Few outsiders walk this far along the coast on weekdays. Expect seaweed and washed-up litter after storms; staff rake the sand in the morning and afternoon.

What does the anYen Spa at Ho Tram Beach Boutique offer?

anYen Spa has five treatment rooms and is open every day from 9 am to 10 pm, with massages, body treatments and facials. Booking ahead is wise in the evening. Until 31 December 2026 the resort advertises an hourly spa offer with up to 50% off when booked in advance. Sauna or steam use is listed only by some booking sites, so ask the hotel when you book.

Are mosquitoes and sand flies a problem at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Yes, enough that guests mention them often. The resort is a garden of trees, ponds and lawns beside the sea, so bring repellent, especially for dusk on the lawns and the beach. Beds have mosquito nets, and rooms facing the sea tend to have fewer insects than those by the ponds. Long sleeves at sunset help more than anything.

Food & breakfast4

Is breakfast included at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

It depends on the rate you choose. Some rates include the buffet and others are room-only, and the booking page shows both side by side. If you add it at the resort, the listed price is 534,000 VND per adult and per child aged 12–17, and 320,000 VND for children aged 6–11; children up to 5 eat free.

What time is breakfast at Ho Tram Beach Boutique, and where is it served?

Breakfast is a buffet from 7 am to 10 am in Gecko Restaurant, a long open-sided hall with a tiled roof looking over the garden. It mixes Vietnamese dishes such as noodle soup with Western staples. Guests praise the setting, though some find the choice limited on quiet weekdays and mention cigarette smoke drifting in from nearby tables.

Where can I eat outside Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

The nearest real choice is Ho Tram fishing village, 5 km away, where stalls at the fish market will cook seafood you pick for a small fee. Ho Coc, 10.5 km up the coast, and Phuoc Hai, 16 km west, have open-air seafood restaurants. None is walkable, so plan a car, and agree the price per kilogram before anything goes on the grill.

Is the Nautical beach bar at Ho Tram Beach Boutique open?

Check before you travel. Booking listings say the bar and lounge are closed from 1 to 31 October 2026, and an October guest review mentions the beach bar under renovation. When it is open, it runs from 10 am to 10 pm on the sand, with a seafood barbecue and live music from 6 pm on some evenings.

Want breakfast included? Rates with and without it are listed side by side.Compare rates ›
Families & children4

Is there a kids’ club at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Yes. The resort has an indoor kids’ club, a sand playground with a wooden climbing house and slide under the casuarinas, a children’s pool with a water slide and a weekly programme of crafts, nature walks and movie nights. Ages, hours and any fees are not published, so ask the hotel when you book. Babysitting is listed as available.

Do children stay free at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Young children usually do when they share the existing beds: one child up to about 4 or 5 stays free, depending on the listing. Older children need an extra bed, charged per night, and the listed price varies by booking site, so confirm it when you book. Breakfast is free for children up to 5 and charged from age 6.

Can I get a cot or connecting rooms at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Baby cots are available and are free for young children, but ask for one when you book so it is ready on arrival. The resort has three pairs of connecting rooms, which suits families with older children. Connecting rooms are on request rather than guaranteed: note it in the booking and confirm it by email.

Is Ho Tram Beach Boutique easy with a pushchair or for guests who use a wheelchair?

With a pushchair, mostly yes: paved and stone paths link the low buildings, though some bungalows have steps up to the veranda. There are no rooms adapted for wheelchairs, according to a tour-operator fact sheet, and the two-storey blocks are reached by stairs. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, ask for a ground-floor room close to the restaurant.

Check-in & practical5

When can I check in and out at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Most listings give check-in from 3 pm and check-out at 12 noon; one source says 2 pm. Early check-in and late check-out are possible for a fee, depending on availability. If you arrive on the 2 pm resort shuttle from Saigon, you will reach the resort around check-in time anyway.

Is there an ATM or a shop near Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Not close by. The nearest ATMs are in the former Phuoc Buu town, about 9 km away, and the closest grocery shop is about 3 km away; there is no convenience-store chain nearby. A pharmacy is about 5 km away in Ho Tram village. Bring enough cash in dong for markets, taxis and tips.

Is the Wi-Fi at Ho Tram Beach Boutique good enough to work?

It is fine for messages and browsing, less so for video calls. Wi-Fi is free throughout, but it is the lowest-rated item in guest reviews, and signal can be weak in the farther bungalows. If you must work, ask for a room near the main buildings and bring a local SIM or eSIM as a back-up.

Will I hear construction noise at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Possibly, depending on your room. A resort project next door has been under construction and was expected to continue until the end of 2026, and some guests mention the noise. When you book, ask for a room away from the construction side; it is on request. Weekday daytime is when work is most likely.

Can I pay by card at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Yes, the resort accepts major credit and debit cards for room charges, spa and restaurant bills, and cash in Vietnamese dong. Your room itself is paid according to the rate you choose on the booking page. Keep cash for anything outside the resort, as village restaurants and markets rarely take cards.

Is it right for you3

Is Ho Tram Beach Boutique quiet at weekends?

Less than on weekdays. Ho Tram is a weekend escape from Ho Chi Minh City, so Friday to Sunday and public holidays bring families and company groups to the pools and the restaurant. Monday to Thursday is noticeably calmer. For the quietest stay, avoid Tet, 30 April to 1 May and 2 September.

How is Ho Tram Beach Boutique different from the bigger resorts nearby?

It is older, smaller and lower than its neighbours. Instead of towers and a casino, it has 92 rooms in one- and two-storey buildings with thatched or clay-tile roofs, set among original casuarina trees. The trade-off is fewer facilities and some dated rooms. The Grand Ho Tram, with its casino and golf, is about 10 minutes away by car.

What is there to do near Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

Most guests mix the beach and pools with short drives. Ho Coc beach is 10.5 km away, the Binh Chau hot springs are 28 km away and the Binh Chau–Phuoc Buu forest reserve starts beyond Ho Coc. The Minh Dam mountain relic site is 20 km away, and Vung Tau city is about an hour’s drive.

When to go3

Which months are best for a stay at Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

December to April is the most reliable time: the dry season, with almost no rain from January to March. The north-east monsoon makes the sea rougher from November to February, so for calmer swimming, March and April are the best months. May to October is the rainy season, usually as short afternoon showers, and October is the wettest month.

Is it windy at Ho Tram in December and January?

Yes. The north-east monsoon blows from about November to February, bringing breezy afternoons and bigger waves. Days stay sunny and warm, with highs around 29–30 °C, and the sea is at its coolest, about 24–26 °C. It is good weather for the pools and the garden, less so for swimming in the sea.

How far ahead should I book Ho Tram Beach Boutique?

For an ordinary weekday, a few weeks ahead is usually enough. For weekends, Tet (6 February 2027), 30 April to 1 May and 2 September, book early, because Saigon families fill the resort and the pool villas and family bungalows go first. Pick a refundable rate if your dates may change.
